FORMULA: Function Organization of Living Matter : ModeLing and Analysis

Biological systems are built through dynamic networks of interactions, organized at different scales – from molecules and macromolecular assemblies to organelles, cells and tissues – and responding to a range of intrinsic and environmental clues. The FORMULA project (Function Organization of Living Matter : ModeLing and Analysis) aims to develop cutting-edge cross-disciplinary methodologies to explore the multiscale and dynamic organization of living matter. To this end, the project will build on the research themes, expertise and models of its participants from the Faculty of Science, the Faculty of Health and the Pasteur Institute. Investigating the functional organisation of living systems, based on these technological developments, will pave the way to the understanding of their deregulations in human pathologies.
